Urethral Catheter Cart Drawer 1
standard catheters
Stock item Storeroom code Comments
Standard urine catheters: 12, 14, 16 These are slightly too long for the drawers, but work well if the coloured balloon connectors are poking out slightly – this means you can pull out the right size catheter without having to open the drawer which can catch slightly due to the protruding packets. The label on this drawer could also be colour-coded to help with stocking and finding the right size, as it done in the storeroom
There are no special catheters stocked in the trolley – these can be sourced from the storeroom if required e.g. coudé tip, three-way, temperature probe etc. These standard catheters are more commonly used and they all contain the correct 10 mL water syringe.
