CUH

Cork University Hospital has one of the largest Emergency Departments (ED) in Ireland and has a significant resuscitation workload. It is the only hospital in Ireland with "level 1 trauma" criteria. We have a particular interest in education with active pre-hospital, emergency nursing, undergraduate, Doctors in Training and specialist registrar programmes.

Medico-Cork

Cork Emergency Medicine, based at CUH, manages the HSE's National 24 hour Emergency Tele-Medical Support Unit, Medico Cork.

MUH

The ED at the Mercy University Hospital specialises in inner-city emergencies.

Local injury units

Adult patients with minor leg or arm injuries may also attend our Mercy Injury Unit, Gurranabraher, or our local injury units at Bantry and Mallow.
